9 Additional COVID-19 Cases Related to Bucheon Yeongsaenggyo... Total 105 Confirmed On the 9th, a religious facility in Goean-dong, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, where a cluster infection of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) occurred, is firmly closed.

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases related to Yeongsaenggyo in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, has increased by 9. As a result, the total number of confirmed cases related to the Yeongsaenggyo Seungri Altar and Ojeong Neungnyeok Supplementary Academy has risen to 105.


On the 11th, Bucheon City announced that 9 additional people tested positive for COVID-19 in connection with the Yeongsaenggyo Seungri Altar facility in Goean-dong. The additional confirmed cases at the Seungri Altar include 2 people in their 20s, 4 in their 50s, 2 in their 70s, and 1 in their 80s.


Infections related to the Seungri Altar have been rapidly increasing since the first patient was identified on the 7th. Including Ojeong Neungnyeok Supplementary Academy, the cumulative number of related confirmed cases reached 105 as of 4 p.m. that day.


On the 10th, Gyeonggi Province inspected four Yeongsaenggyo Seungri Altar facilities in Bucheon, Suwon, Yangpyeong, and Anseong, and completed diagnostic testing for 111 out of 147 total believers. On the same day, five believers belonging to the Suwon altar were instructed to undergo testing, and authorities are currently trying to contact the remaining believers who have not been reached.
