[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Carelabs subsidiary Goodoc announced on the 10th that it will provide a medical institution information confirmation service during the holiday period.
Goodoc stated that it plans to provide information on hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and screening clinics available for real-time treatment during the Lunar New Year holiday period on its website and Goodoc app. The company explained that as the COVID-19 pandemic, which has continued since last year, is ongoing and the upcoming four-day long holiday period is approaching, it plans to provide information services to minimize medical service gaps during this period.
The medical institution information service operating during the holiday period will also offer Goodoc’s usual non-face-to-face reception services such as mobile reservation and QR check-in. Additionally, as part of Korea’s K-quarantine efforts, a location service for COVID-19 screening clinics operating during the holiday period will be provided to prepare for any unforeseen situations.
This service is operated by integrating information mutually verified with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Emergency Medical Portal, and respective local governments. The company also requested that although the service provides the most accurate and nearest medical institution information based on user location, users should make a confirmation call before visiting considering any unavoidable circumstances at the medical institutions.
Park Kyungdeuk, CEO of Goodoc, said, “During last year’s Lunar New Year holiday period, when the COVID-19 situation began to escalate, traffic for hospital, pharmacy, and emergency medical institution searches increased more than fourfold. Therefore, we judged that this service should be continuously operated considering user needs.” He added, “With a heavy responsibility as the largest non-face-to-face healthcare platform operator in Korea, we will update and provide information on operating medical institutions nationwide, including hospitals, pharmacies, and emergency rooms, contributing to minimizing medical service gaps during the holiday period.”
