Saltlux Establishes 'Saltlux Ventures' for Direct Investment in AI Ecosystem

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Saltlux announced on the 10th that it has established ‘Saltlux Ventures’ to create an ecosystem for the artificial intelligence and big data industries.

Saltlux made direct investments in 11 companies aiming to strengthen partnerships and promote new businesses through the convergence of AI technologies to build an AI ecosystem around its KOSDAQ listing in July last year. Among them, Hypersense was acquired by the world-renowned American game developer Epic Games in November 2020. Two companies are preparing for public listing. The business areas of the invested companies include ‘AI data, autonomous driving, AR·VR, RPA, voice recognition, bio-genomics, and legal services,’ and new businesses in these fields are being promoted through convergence with Saltlux’s AI technology.

Saltlux Ventures holds a 74.07% stake in Saltlux. Shareholders who invested in Saltlux have joined as strategic investors. The main investment targets are growth industries such as ▲artificial intelligence ▲big data ▲mobility ▲bio ▲materials, and through creating a 4th industrial ecosystem and M&A, they plan to enhance the value of Saltlux and its investors by securing new growth engines.

In addition, the company expects to actively support the growth of invested companies by combining Saltlux’s data and AI platform, thereby deeply expanding AI technology across the industrial base.
