CyberOne "Leading Security Monitoring Market with Proprietary Control System-Based Platform" Yuk Dong-hyun, CEO of CyberOne

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] "We will continuously develop our integrated security control platform equipped with our own system to take the lead in the security control market."

Yook Dong-hyun, CEO of CyberOne, stated this in an interview with Asia Economy on the 9th. CyberOne is an information security service company specializing in security control services and security consulting. Its flagship product is the ‘Integrated Security Control System (PROM SIEM)’, which can collect big data based on artificial intelligence (AI). This system is proprietary technology secured after extensive research since the establishment of its research institute in 2010. Among companies entering the security control market, only a very few provide their own control systems.

CEO Yook said, "We operate an ‘Integrated Security Control Platform’ that provides solutions based on our own control system, which will serve as a strength in leading the security market in the future," adding, "Having our own system allows us to improve product quality according to customer requirements."

The domestic security control service market has recorded an average annual growth rate of 10.3% from 2015 to 2019. Recently, to capture the security control service market in the rapidly growing cloud market after the 4th Industrial Revolution, CyberOne has formed partnerships with Naver Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.

Another core business, the security consulting sector, has also shown a high average annual growth rate of 30% during the same period. This consulting service involves dispatching experts to 414 major information and communication infrastructure institutions that impact the nation and society, such as power plants and water supply and sewage facilities, to analyze risks and establish countermeasures. CEO Yook explained, "The absolute number of hackers within our company is higher than that of other competitors, giving us an advantage in both the control and consulting markets," and added, "We are recognized as the unrivaled number one operator in the major information and communication infrastructure market."

Sales have shown steady growth. After streamlining non-core businesses in 2016, sales increased from 19.4 billion KRW in 2017 to 22.3 billion KRW in 2019.

CyberOne is preparing to enter the KOSDAQ market next month. The funds raised through the initial public offering will be used for research and development of security solutions and the advancement of the control center.
