[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Kolon Industries FnC Division’s outdoor brand Kolon Sports announced on the 7th that it will upgrade and launch the outdoor sneakers ‘Move’ for the 2021 spring·summer season.
‘Move’ is an outdoor sneaker first introduced in the last fall·winter season, recording an average sales rate of about 90%. Its advantage lies in incorporating Kolon Sports’ unique hiking boot technology into a casual sneaker appearance, which is interpreted as being chosen by the 2030 generation. Accordingly, Kolon Sports is upgrading the functions of Move this season and expanding the existing 3 colors to 5.
‘Move’ features a design inspired by ridge boots, with the eyelet section extending from the instep to the toes, and a rubber toe cap placed directly. Additionally, Gore-Tex 3L (layer) is used as the lining, providing breathability and waterproof functionality, allowing comfortable wear even on rainy days. This season, the Vibram MegaGrip outsole is applied to upgrade traction, reducing foot fatigue even after long walks.
Park Sungcheol, Executive Director of Kolon Sports, said, “Shoes are one of the most important functional items for outdoor activities. Regular sneakers worn during hiking lack stability, and this product will be perfect for customers who find hiking boots burdensome to choose.”
Meanwhile, Kolon Sports will hold a commemorative exhibition themed ‘Move,’ encompassing great nature and daily life, at the Hannam flagship store from February 5 to 22.
