[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Songpa District Council (Chairman Lee Hwang-su) visited the temporary screening clinics set up at the Peace Gate Plaza in Olympic Park and the Songpa Sports and Culture Center on the 4th, where frontline workers are tirelessly fighting against COVID-19, to encourage the on-site staff and deliver snacks and beverages.

This visit was made to express gratitude to the workers at the temporary screening clinics who are striving to prevent the spread of COVID-19 despite the cold weather.

Chairman Lee Hwang-su, along with Vice Chairman Park Kyung-rae and Operations Committee Chair Kim Hee-sook, inquired about the operation of the temporary screening clinics and the status of confirmed cases in the area, toured the screening sites, and encouraged the medical staff and employees working on-site.

Chairman Lee Hwang-su said, “Since the temporary screening clinics directly face COVID-19, it is difficult and dangerous, but I sincerely thank the dedication and hard work of the medical staff and employees who work day and night.” He added, “It must be tough due to the prolonged emergency work, but please take care of your health, and I hope the day will come soon when we can return to normal life as much as you have worked for the safety of Songpa residents.”
