11 Areas Including Transportation, Livelihood Economy, and Wildfire Countermeasures
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 5th that it will implement a 'Comprehensive Plan for the Lunar New Year Holiday' to ensure the safety of local residents during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The county will operate a comprehensive situation room for four days from the 11th to the 14th during the holiday period.
The comprehensive situation room is composed of 8 situation teams and township civil complaint situation teams.
The comprehensive plan for the Lunar New Year holiday is divided into 11 detailed focus areas including ▲ prevention measures for the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and various disasters, incidents, and accidents ▲ vehicle traffic and safety measures ▲ livelihood economy and price stabilization ▲ resolution of residents' inconveniences ▲ non-face-to-face consolation and encouragement for neighbors in need ▲ strict establishment of public service work discipline.
Along with implementing the comprehensive plan, the county promoted a campaign to refrain from visiting hometowns through the village community broadcasting system.
An emergency duty team was organized to operate base disinfection facilities for special quarantine against forest fires caused by dry weather, African swine fever, foot-and-mouth disease, and highly pathogenic avian influenza.
To reduce the burden on the livelihood economy due to rising prices of essential goods, the county plans to continuously monitor 16 key price management items.
To eliminate medical service gaps, an emergency medical treatment plan has been established, and screening clinics will be operated during the holiday period to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Emergency medical institutions and holiday duty pharmacies will be designated and operated, and joint inspections will be conducted on hygiene at food manufacturing and sales businesses for Lunar New Year seasonal products.
In addition, through thorough public service audits, the county plans to establish public service discipline, which tends to loosen during the holiday period, and enhance the image of a clean Sancheong.
A county official stated, “We will do our best to ensure that residents can spend a safe and comfortable holiday.”
