KCSC 2020 Good Program Award to MBC '5.18 40th Anniversary Special'

[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] The Korea Communications Standards Commission announced on the 5th that MBC's "Series M - 5.18 40th Anniversary Special I Remember" was selected as the '2020 Best Program' in the terrestrial TV category.

In the terrestrial radio category, Ulsan MBC's "Radio Documentary 4-Part Series The Song of Iron," in the new media category, CBS TV's "Jeon Tae-il 50th Anniversary Special Documentary Christian Youth Jeon Tae-il," and in the local broadcasting category, Jeonju MBC's "Neutbom 2020" were each recognized.

"Series M - 5.18 40th Anniversary Special I Remember" is a documentary commemorating the 40th anniversary of the May 18 Democratic Uprising, uncovering and introducing previously little-known video and photo materials.

"Radio Documentary 4-Part Series The Song of Iron" shed light on the history of ancient ironmaking and explored ways to revive traditional ironmaking. "Jeon Tae-il 50th Anniversary Special Documentary Christian Youth Jeon Tae-il" highlighted the life of Jeon Tae-il as a Christian youth on the 50th anniversary of his martyrdom. "Neutbom 2020" covered the life and democratization movement activities of Pastor Moon Ik-hwan, a poet and unification activist.

The Korea Communications Standards Commission selected six programs, including the grand prize winner Pohang MBC's "Don't Use That Molten Iron," as the 'Best Programs of the Month' in December last year.
