[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the 5th, Kim Jong-in, the Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, urged Chief Justice Kim Myung-soo to resign, stating, "The lying Chief Justice has completely lost his authority and qualifications as the head of the judiciary."

At an emergency press conference held that day, Chairman Kim said, "The judiciary, the last bastion of democracy, is collapsing," and added, "The Chief Justice's refusal to accept his resignation out of fear of political criticism and his offering of junior judges as impeachment sacrifices is not only despicable but also shocking in itself."

He pointed out, "There is a public outcry over the Chief Justice's deceitful fraud against the people," and "There are also strong critical voices within the judiciary." He continued, "He agreed to the unprecedented prosecution investigation of over 100 judges, and we cannot help but be stunned by the unconstitutional acts that the Chief Justice is destroying," adding, "The true face of the current Chief Justice revealed through the problematic voice files and transcripts amid the judicial impeachment crisis is not that of the head of the judiciary as defined by the Constitution."

Chairman Kim, who referred to Chief Justice Kim as the "Master of Lies," emphasized, "Now the Chief Justice must make a decision himself," and "Only by stepping down can he at least atone to the wounded people."

However, he saw no practical benefit in proposing an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Kim. He said, "There are sufficient grounds for impeachment," but "Considering the current structure of the National Assembly, impeachment would inevitably be rejected." He added, "If impeachment is done only by numbers, it is meaningless," and "The most important thing is that we confirmed the destruction of democracy in our society during yesterday's National Assembly audit impeachment process."

Dear respected citizens,

The judiciary, the last bastion of democracy, is collapsing.

It is truly unbearable.

The sitting Chief Justice, under the name of the Supreme Court,

submitted false written responses to the National Assembly

and was caught lying to the people within a day.

In the unprecedented judicial impeachment crisis

caused by the regime's irrational actions,

the head of the judiciary, fearing political criticism,

refused to accept his resignation and offered junior judges as impeachment sacrifices,

a behavior that is not only despicable but also shocking in itself.

The public is outraged over the Chief Justice's fraudulent deception against the people.

Due to the conscience-paralyzed "lying Chief Justice,"

there are strong critical voices within the judiciary claiming it has fallen into a brain-dead state.

Looking back at the words and actions of the current Chief Justice, which cast doubt on his qualifications and level as the head of the judiciary,

there were already signs predicting the current unfortunate situation.

1. Upon his inauguration, the Chief Justice said, "As Chief Justice, I will resist any attempt to infringe upon judicial independence with all my might."

However, when the regime challenged court rulings and shook the judiciary,

the Chief Justice remained silent,

and even agreed to the unprecedented prosecution investigation of over 100 judges.

He has been harshly criticized as an accomplice to judicial impeachment.

Does Chief Justice Kim Myung-soo believe he has properly served as a shield protecting judges from political pressure as the head of the judiciary?

2. Article 103 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea stipulates

"Judges shall be independent in their decisions according to their conscience in accordance with the Constitution and laws."

However, who is the person who, instead of the Constitution, laws, and conscience,

forced junior judges to conduct "public opinion trials" under the pretext of "judgments meeting the people's expectations"?

We cannot help but be stunned by the unconstitutional acts of the Chief Justice himself, who is undermining the sacred constitutional spirit bestowed upon judges.

3. Recently, the Supreme Court acquitted a candidate who lied to voters and the public during an election broadcast debate.

However, this ruling greatly deviated from the Supreme Court's existing precedent, which had convicted candidates solely based on false statements in election campaign materials, leading to the reemergence of the phrase "guilty without votes, innocent with votes."

Looking back now, such questionable rulings by the Supreme Court were apparently possible under the "Pinocchio Chief Justice" regime of liars.

4. Amid the current judicial impeachment crisis, the true face of the Chief Justice revealed through the problematic voice files and transcripts

is not that of the head of the judiciary as defined by the Constitution.

According to public materials, the Chief Justice said that "political situations" must be considered.

It is truly absurd to say that political considerations should be taken instead of the Constitution, laws, and conscience.

This is an unacceptable unconstitutional idea,

and a confession that the Chief Justice himself is a politician disguised in judicial robes.

Moreover, refusing to accept the resignation without any legal basis and for an incomprehensible reason constitutes abuse of authority,

and the false written response stating "I have never said that the resignation cannot be accepted due to impeachment issues" is a false official document and an illegal act.

There are also heated criticisms that the Chief Justice is the mastermind behind judicial corruption and the main culprit of the "politicization of the judiciary."

How could it be otherwise when the biggest obstacle to judicial independence and the separation of powers is said to be the politically biased Chief Justice?

The lying Chief Justice has completely lost his authority and qualifications as the head of the judiciary.

It is a national disaster and a shame to future generations that the Supreme Court, the final arbiter of right and wrong, is led by the "Master of Lies."

Now the Chief Justice must make a decision himself.

Only by stepping down can he at least atone to the wounded people.

Since the Moon Jae-in administration, following the "lawless Minister,"

even the "lawless Chief Justice" has turned the judiciary, the last bastion of law and justice, into a lawless realm, which is truly deplorable.

The people say,

Reveal the truth behind the "impeachment deal" between the regime and the Chief Justice.

Furthermore, judges must be able to conduct trials solely according to the Constitution, laws, and conscience as stipulated by the Constitution,

and the constitutional spirit of judicial independence and separation of powers must be upheld.

If the Chief Justice does not decide on his position voluntarily,

we strongly warn that the people will not tolerate it.
