Simmons Bed Supports Icheon City with 40 Million Won Worth of Daily Necessities Ahead of Lunar New Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Simmons, a sleep specialty brand (CEO Ahn Jung-ho), announced on the 5th that it has provided household goods worth 40 million KRW to the citizens of Icheon, Gyeonggi Province ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

On the morning of the 3rd, Simmons Bed held a donation ceremony at Icheon City Hall attended by Lee Jung-ho, Vice President of Simmons Bed, and Eom Tae-jun, Mayor of Icheon. This year's donation items are electric pressure rice cookers, which will be delivered to about 300 vulnerable households in the Icheon area.

Since September 2018, Simmons has supported the Icheon community with household goods worth over 200 million KRW, including TVs, air conditioners, washing machines, and microwaves, through a total of six donations up to this year. Icheon is home to Korea Simmons' production factory and research and development center called 'Simmons Factorium' as well as the complex cultural space 'Simmons Terrace.'

Lee Jung-ho, Vice President of Simmons Bed, said, "Although this Lunar New Year is more difficult than usual due to COVID-19, I thought it was especially important to look out for places that need helping hands during such times. As a member of the local community, I gladly participated in the donation ceremony with the hope of providing some support to local farms." In response, Eom Tae-jun, Mayor of Icheon, said, "In these difficult times for everyone, Simmons Bed's consistent goodwill will be a great strength to the Icheon community."
