Average Score of 3.5 Across 5 Evaluation Criteria
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] The Korea Automobile Journalists Association announced on the 5th that the Volkswagen T-Roc has been selected as the Car of the Month for February this year.
The Automobile Journalists Association selects the best vehicle each month by comprehensively evaluating new cars and facelift models released from the 1st to the end of the month through the Car of the Year selection committee under its jurisdiction. The evaluation covers five categories: exterior design, interior design, product practicality, safety and convenience features, and marketability and purchase intention.
Among the new cars released last month, the new Bentley Bentayga, Jaguar The New F-Type, and Volkswagen New T-Roc (listed in brand alphabetical order) were nominated for February's Car of the Month. Among them, the new T-Roc was finally selected as the Car of the Month for February with a score of 17.3 points out of 25.
The Automobile Journalists Association applied a 1 to 5 point scale for each of the five evaluation categories, and the new T-Roc recorded an average of 3.5 points across all five categories. It received 4.3 points in product practicality, and 3.7 points in interior design and safety and convenience features.
Meanwhile, the Automobile Journalists Association has been selecting and announcing the Car of the Month since May 2019. In January, the Genesis GV70 was selected as the Car of the Month.
