Gwangjin-gu Accepts Pre-Applications for Infant and Toddler Childcare Services Ahead of New Semester

Applications for new or changed childcare services for children as of March 1 accepted until February 26... Apply via Dong Community Center visit or online/app

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seongap) is accepting advance applications for infant and toddler care services until the 26th ahead of the new school semester in March.

The application targets are households with children who need to newly use or change infant and toddler care services as of March 1.

The types of care service support include ▲‘Childcare Allowance’ for children under 86 months being raised at home ▲‘Childcare Fees’ for children aged 0-5 using daycare centers ▲‘Preschool Tuition’ for children aged 3-5 attending kindergartens.

Cases requiring application for changes in care services include changes in the type of support, such as switching from Childcare Allowance to daycare center Childcare Fees or kindergarten Preschool Tuition.

Also, applications are mandatory when changing from basic daycare to extended daycare for children aged 0-2.

Residents wishing to apply can visit any town, township, or neighborhood community service center nationwide regardless of residence by the 26th, or apply via the Bokjiro website or mobile app.

Meanwhile, after this advance application period ends, the service support start date will be determined based on the application date, and retroactive support is not possible, so timely application according to the transition period is necessary.
