SW Center University Project Group and HancomWITH Collaborate on AI Mobile Forensics Support and Workforce Development
Dongseo University and HancomWITH signed a cooperation agreement on forensic-related work on February 3.

Forensics is an investigative technique that collects and analyzes digital devices or internet data to secure evidence of crimes.
On February 3, Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) SW-Centered University Project Group signed an agreement on cooperation related to mobile forensics with HancomWITH Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Hyun-soo) at Hancom Building in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The agreement aims for mutual cooperation in forensic work and mutual development to advance domestic mobile forensic technology.
The event was attended by Dongseo University’s Artificial Intelligence Mobile Forensics Research Director Moon Mi-kyung, Planning and Research Director Cho Dae-su, Center Director Kim Yong-ho, along with HancomWITH CEO Kim Hyun-soo and Director Kim Yong-bu for the industry-academia cooperation agreement ceremony.
HancomWITH Co., Ltd. has developed the world’s best mobile forensic solutions, the ‘MD Series (MD-NEXT, MD-RED, MD-LIVE),’ and supplies solutions and technical support to domestic investigative agencies including the National Police Agency and the Prosecutor’s Office, as well as various public institutions with special investigative powers. They also supply solutions to overseas investigative agencies in the United States, Europe, and other regions.
Through this agreement, Dongseo University’s Artificial Intelligence Mobile Forensics Research Institute will obtain the qualification as a forensic service business partner along with base education centers in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions, and will discuss mutual exchange of human resources for academic research and education by nurturing talents suitable for field work and providing them to companies.
Research Director Moon Mi-kyung stated, “Through this agreement, Dongseo University students will be able to learn the best knowledge and practical know-how related to mobile forensics, and we will strive to nurture practical talents by conducting mobile forensic education and services in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions.”
