Winhytec Begins Export Shipment of Deck Plates for Bata Airport Construction in Equatorial Guinea

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] WinHytec announced on the 29th that it has started the initial delivery of deck plates applied to the Bata International Airport terminal in Equatorial Guinea, marking its first shipment.

WinHytec secured additional references related to airport construction materials last October through a supply contract with Ssangyong Construction for Bata International Airport terminal construction materials. The company plans to carry out phased product shipments until the contract period ends in May this year.

Since its establishment, WinHytec has been leading product and construction method innovation based on continuous research and development (R&D), achieving overwhelming order results in the deck plate sector for airport facility construction, which requires strict compliance with product and construction performance standards. The cumulative contract area to date is 412,000 m2, with a contract amount reaching 19.4 billion KRW.

A WinHytec official explained, “Deck plates for domestic airport facility construction are government procurement materials that require very high standards of quality, safety, construction capability, and technology, and contracts are signed according to national contract laws. Currently, among companies with airport facility construction achievements, only WinHytec holds the Excellent Procurement Product certification.”

WinHytec’s Excellent Procurement Product, NOVA DECK, is the industry’s only welding-free, form-removal product, offering carbon reduction advantages and being eco-friendly. It is a high-performance, high-quality excellent product certified by the government due to features such as building leak detection and flat steel plate characteristics. The company expects to secure a favorable position in the bidding for new airport construction projects, including the large-scale national project of Incheon International Airport Phase 4 construction, expected to be ordered in the first half of this year.

Byun Cheon-seop, CEO of WinHytec, said, “We have the most airport construction project order references and meet the order requirements, so we expect WinHytec to be the top priority in new airport bidding. Having continuously developed new concept technologies and products, we will focus on creating new markets and achieve visible results within this year.”
