9 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Gangnam-gu

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 28th, 9 confirmed COVID-19 cases (No. 1142~1150) were reported in Gangnam-gu.

Cases 1142, 1144, and 1145 were each confirmed through contact with previously confirmed Gangnam-gu residents, cases 1143, 1146, and 1147 are family members of confirmed Gangnam-gu residents, and case 1150 was confirmed after testing upon entry into the country. Cases 1148 and 1149 tested positive with symptoms such as coughing, but their infection routes are unknown, and epidemiological investigations are ongoing.

Due to concerns about secondary infections, Gangnam-gu has designated four hotels in the area (Oakwood Premier Coex Center, Gangnam Family Hotel, InterContinental Seoul Coex, Prima Hotel) as ‘Safe Accommodations’ for isolated individuals who wish to live separately from their families during self-quarantine.

Family members of isolated individuals can inquire at Gangnam-gu Office or the hotels to receive discount benefits and stay at these accommodations.
