[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation announced on the 28th that it received the Presidential Citation at the '2020 Regional Development Meritorious Government Awards' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for actively participating in the promotion of the road name address policy and contributing to its development.
The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation incorporated government guidance on the activation of road name address usage into materials produced and distributed to inform about the deposit protection system. A total of 140,000 copies were distributed to over 12,000 financial institutions. Through this, the corporation was recognized for promoting the use of road name addresses in transactions between financial institution employees and consumers.
Wi Seong-baek, President of the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation, said, "I am very honored to receive the Presidential Citation for contributions to the activation of road name address usage," and added, "We will continue to strive to fulfill our social responsibilities and roles as a public institution."
