[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 28th that it will launch a ‘Good Prepayment’ campaign to support small business owners facing difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

The Good Prepayment campaign encourages customers to visit their frequently used restaurants, hair salons, cafes, etc., and purchase and pay in advance, with the actual visit happening later.

The county expects this campaign to help stabilize the management and increase sales of local small business owners, while also boosting consumption.

To spread the culture of prepayment to the private sector, the county will take the lead in prepayment starting from the public sector.

All departments and offices of the county office and the eup/myeon (township) offices have already made prepayments totaling about 20 million won from their business promotion expenses for the month of January.

When making prepayments, the county plans to actively use Zero Pay to reduce the commission burden on small business owners.

The county will also request other public institutions in the region to participate in the campaign and conduct active promotional activities to expand it to private sectors such as self-sustaining organizations and residents in each eup/myeon.

A county official said, “We ask for active participation in the Good Prepayment movement to support our local small business owners who are going through difficulties,” and added, “We will continue to promote various consumption stimulation activities, including revitalizing the Good Rent campaign and providing management stabilization funds.”
