Festival 'Noryangjin Night, Night Market' Held from January 29 to February 5 to Revitalize Noryangjin Cupbap Street and Surrounding Commercial Area... Exhibitions by Young Artist Teams Including ▲Taping Art ▲Support Messages from Merchants ▲Wish Tunnel
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) will hold the 3rd 'Noryangjin Night, Night Market' festival non-face-to-face from January 29 to February 5 in the Noryangjin Cupbap Street and Manyang-ro area.
Now in its third year, 'Noryangjin Night, Night Market' was prepared to revitalize the Noryangjin Cupbap Street and surrounding commercial districts and to support young people who are challenging the future.
This event will be held as a street artwork exhibition delivering messages of comfort and consolation in a non-face-to-face manner, canceling all face-to-face events due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The district completed recruiting taping art artists to participate in the exhibition after an external expert review last month.
Various works such as ▲taping art created by 11 youth artist teams ▲support messages from merchants ▲a wish tunnel containing residents' hopes will be exhibited.
In addition, on the Night Market Facebook and Instagram, COVID-19 prevention campaign songs and music videos sung directly by Noryangjin public exam students were posted so that more residents can easily participate in the event.
During the event period, a quarantine team composed of the merchants' association will conduct frequent disinfection in the Manyang-ro and Noryangjin-ro areas to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and infectious diseases.
Lee Soon-gi, Director of the Sports and Culture Division, said, “I hope this Night Market event will be a warm time of consolation for residents and youth who are exhausted due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic,” and added, “We will also make every effort to ensure safety measures are thoroughly implemented so the event can proceed safely.”
