On the 27th (local time), according to major foreign media, Bill Gates called the COVID-19 related conspiracy theories about him circulating on social networking services (SNS) "crazy talk."

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, conspiracy theories have emerged online, including on SNS, such as "Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, created the virus to control people and profit," and "they plan to implant tracking devices in citizens through vaccines."

Bill Gates expressed that he was "very surprised" by the conspiracy theories and said, "I hope they disappear."
