Seodaemun-gu 'Sinchon, Paranggorae' 3rd University Student Reporter Recruitment... Coverage and Promotion of Sinchon Area Cultural and Artistic Content through 'Sinchon, Paranggorae' Program... Promotion Skills Workshop and Incentives Including Manuscript Fees Provided
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) is recruiting the 3rd generation of university student reporters to promote the main programs of the youth culture hub ‘Sinchon, Paranggorae’ and content related to urban regeneration, culture and arts, and youth in the Sinchon area.
The positions include 5 reporting journalists and 3 video/image journalists. They will post articles written through topic discovery and on-site coverage on various SNS platforms, university online communities, newsletters, and more.
They will also participate in the planning and production of promotional materials for ‘Sinchon, Paranggorae’ and youth networking events.
Applicants must be university students or students on leave residing or active in Seoul, with a strong interest in the Sinchon urban regeneration project and youth, culture, and arts fields, and capable of planning and writing related content.
Those interested can download the application form from the ‘Notices’ section on the Seodaemun-gu website, fill it out, and submit it via email (juh2ee@sdm.go.kr) between February 1 and 19.
Successful candidates will be announced on February 26 after document screening and interviews. The district will conduct workshops to enhance skills such as writing and filming for the student reporters and will pay manuscript fees for selected articles.
The activity period is from March to December this year, during which participants will be involved in selecting promotional items, planning, and production processes. The district will award certificates of completion to the student reporters.
Mayor Moon Seok-jin of Seodaemun-gu said, “We expect that the university student reporters will play a leading role in promoting Sinchon Paranggorae, adding significance as a youth participation space.”
‘Sinchon, Paranggorae’ (19 Yonsero 5na-gil), opened in May 2019, operates as a space for ▲supporting youth culture and arts and exchanges among activists ▲building local communities ▲and projects linked with surrounding areas.
Last year, it consecutively received the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award at the ‘Korea Land Grand Prize’ and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award at the ‘Korea Spatial Culture Awards.’
