Lee Hye-ja, Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member, Strengthens Expansion and Placement of School Career Guidance Teachers Lee Hye-ja, Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Lee Hye-ja, Jeonnam Provincial Council member (Democratic Party of Korea, Muan 1), had the "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Promotion of Career Education by Jeollanam-do Office of Education," which she proposed as a representative at the 349th extraordinary session on the 27th, pass the Education Committee review.

This ordinance supplements the basis for establishing and implementing the basic plan for career education promotion and revitalizing school career education by mandating the placement of dedicated career teachers and support professional personnel, and requires that career experience be recognized as part of the curriculum.

Council member Lee Hye-ja emphasized, "According to the Career Education Act, dedicated career teachers and supporting professionals are to be assigned so that students can creatively develop their own career paths. However, due to the ongoing shortage of dedicated personnel and insufficient career teachers, proper career education is not being adequately provided."

She added, "Career education is important for an objective understanding that includes aptitude, interests, and abilities based on thorough self-analysis to prepare for rapid future changes. I will do my best to strengthen career education so that students can have ample opportunities for career exploration at school."
