[Concall] LG Energy Solution "If ITC rules early loss on February 10, compensation amount will be large"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] LG Energy Solution stated on the 27th during the Q4 earnings conference call that "With the final ruling on the trade secret infringement case previously filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) expected, it is highly likely that the final ITC ruling on the lawsuit with SK Innovation will be announced on February 10."

They added, "If the early loss decision made in the preliminary ruling is upheld in the final judgment, it means that 'trade secret theft' has been recognized," and explained, "This ruling could also impact the civil lawsuit proceeding in the Delaware federal court."

Furthermore, they said, "When calculating the amount of damages, the Trade Secrets Protection Act applies, and if the 'early loss' is upheld, compensation can include lost profits, punitive damages, and attorney fees," adding, "We do not rule out the possibility of reaching a settlement with SK Innovation before or after the final ruling and will strive to negotiate a resolution."
