Changwon Jinhae Gyeonghwa Station Starlight Ecological Humanities Project Budget Secured at 280 Million Won
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Gyeonghwa Station in Jinhae, Changwon, Gyeongnam, will be filled with stories of starlight ecological humanities.
Gyeonghwa Station is located at the center of the ecological tourism belt that connects Yeojuacheon Stream and the Inland Water Environment Ecological Park, making it a popular spot not only during the Gunhangje Festival but also for spring visitors.
Changwon City was selected for this year's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's 'Ecological Green Tourism Promotion Project' and secured 280 million KRW.
The Ecological Green Tourism Promotion Project is aimed at revitalizing areas that are naturally attractive for tourism but physically old and declining by adding cultural content.
In this contest, the city applied for and was selected for the project titled 'A Starlight Ecological Humanities Feast Descended on Jinhae Gyeonghwa Station.'
This project includes ▲ installation of starlight nightscape lighting at Gyeonghwa Station ▲ ecological humanities expert guided tours ▲ starlight night walking events ▲ and a vlog contest.
Shim Jae-wook, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, said, "We will nurture the hidden alley stories along the Gyeonghwa Station railway as tourism content that reflects ecological humanities characteristics and values, and by creating starlight nightscapes at Gyeonghwa Station, we will attract visitors year-round and strive to invigorate the local economy."
