Jinju City Holds Agreement Ceremony for Development of Cognitive Training Program Content

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 27th that it signed a business agreement with Bigs Spring Tree at Gyeongsang National University Startup Incubation Center to develop content for a 'Cognitive Training Program Using Virtual Reality Equipment (VR)'.

Through this agreement, both organizations plan to develop a non-face-to-face cognitive training program service by creating virtual cognitive training and exercise content, providing it to various age groups.

The cognitive training program consists of eight types of content including claim experience, meditation, ATM withdrawal, supermarket experience, fire extinguisher experience, boxing game, whack-a-mole, and animal classification, helping users recognize and respond to various situations.

They plan to enhance the system by developing content such as door lock password usage and archery, which are concentration training programs aimed at dementia prevention.

This agreement is expected to resolve difficulties in face-to-face programs caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and the development and activation of various cognitive training contents are anticipated to accelerate further.

A city official said, “By developing and applying top information and communication technology and innovative VR-based services, we will provide differentiated programs that improve memory, recognize risk factors, promote physical exercise, and stabilize the mind and body.”
