Gwangju City Announces Call for Proposals for Gender Equality Fund Support Projects... Up to 10 Million KRW Support

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 26th that it will open applications for the '2021 Gwangju Metropolitan City Gender Equality Fund Support Project.'

The support areas include ▲raising awareness and spreading culture of gender equality ▲supporting work-family balance ▲care and fostering healthy families to create a child-friendly Gwangju ▲expanding women's social participation and welfare enhancement ▲promoting women's rights and establishing a safety net, totaling five fields.

The support fund is up to 10 million KRW per project, with a total of 64 million KRW available.

Eligibility includes non-profit private organizations and non-profit corporations located in Gwangju that carry out projects such as spreading gender equality culture and promoting women's rights, as well as research institutes established in universities.

The Gender Equality Committee of the city will review the suitability and expected effects based on the scale and nature of the projects, and plans to select and announce the recipients in March.

Through the public contest projects utilizing the Gender Equality Fund, we will strive to further spread a culture of gender equality that citizens can feel in their daily lives.”
