Yeonggwang-gun, 2022 Forest Income Sector Financial Support Project Application and Reception

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that it will accept applications for the '2022 Forest Income Sector Financial Support Project' targeting forestry workers and producer organizations until the 24th of next month.

The purpose of this project is to improve the income of forestry workers by enhancing the productivity and quality of forest products through support for production, processing, and distribution facilities necessary for the production of short-term income clean forest products.

The support includes ▲ eco-friendly fertilizers ▲ vinyl greenhouses ▲ forest product packaging materials ▲ forest product production equipment ▲ forest product storage and drying facilities ▲ distribution equipment, with a support ratio of 50% subsidy and 50% self-payment.

Representative forest products include shiitake mushrooms, apple jujubes, durup, astringent persimmons, peonies, wild ginseng, and others, totaling 79 items designated by the Forestry Promotion Act.

Applications can be submitted to the eup/myeon offices or the County Office Forest and Park Division by the 24th of next month with an application form (including agricultural management entity registration confirmation and estimates).

Forest income projects applied for last year will be supported this year, and the project will be promoted by actively providing guidance on subsidy execution guidelines, post-management, and precautions for subsidized projects.

A county official said, “We plan to foster new crops that create high added value. In particular, we will prioritize support for crops like durup that do not require advanced technology and can generate income during the off-season,” and added, “We ask for the active interest of forestry workers.”
