[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-eun] Jin-in Jo Eun-san, who wrote the 'Seven Proposals for the New Year,' criticized Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung, Democratic Party leader Lee Nak-yeon, and Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun on the 25th, saying, "The three leading figures of the ruling party are ultimately fighting fiercely among themselves over the people's taxes."

On the same day, Jo Eun-san posted an article titled "The Triangular Populism" on his blog, stating, "The ruling party's potential leaders are fiercely competing not over the people's livelihood but over electoral calculations."

He continued, "In an era where a budget of around 500 trillion won can no longer be considered a super budget, even after pouring a massive 54 trillion won of taxpayers' money, jobs remain unchanged, and it is evident that the salaries and pensions of nearly 100,000 newly hired public officials will be spent annually in the trillions of won. What is more amusing is that the three leading figures of the ruling party, who cannot be free from the charge of reckless national fiscal management, are ultimately fighting fiercely among themselves over the people's taxes."

Jo Eun-san said, "Governor Lee Jae-myung of Gyeonggi Province, who could not give up the votes of Gyeonggi residents, first opened the door to populism with the nationwide disaster basic income and the second round of disaster relief funds for Gyeonggi residents by citing the example of a 'collective suicide society.'"

Earlier, on the 23rd, Governor Lee posted an article titled "Fiscal Soundness Without Measures in a Collective Suicide Society" on Facebook, pointing out, "Shouting for fiscal soundness and spending less unconditionally is not the solution."

Then, Jo Eun-san criticized Governor Lee, saying, "It seems as if he is taking out the hospital bill (taxes) for a sick child (self-employed) and saying, 'Our whole family is struggling to take care of the child, so let's buy plenty of beef with this money and all die together,' portraying an irresponsible head of the family who rather encourages a collective suicide society."

Regarding leader Lee Nak-yeon, he said, "After being severely reprimanded by pro-Moon Jae-in supporters for his hasty remarks on pardons, Leader Lee Nak-yeon, awakened by a sharp drop in approval ratings, belatedly joined the front lines and, in concert with Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, also declared populism."

He added, "Where did all the taxes collected go that they cannot even conclude how to use them now? How long must our people remain naive children waiting for Santa Claus's free gifts? Ultimately, they do not even realize that this money also comes from their parents' wallets," he pointed out.

Jo Eun-san said, "What if even one of those three had offered the president a brief piece of advice like, 'No one knows the future of the country, but you should save the national finances to prepare for unforeseen events in the future. That is the role of the state and the hope of the people'?" He added, "If that had happened, perhaps we could have done more for the seven million self-employed people who are barely holding on with a heart that cuts their own flesh and bones in the face of unilateral minimum wage increases and unprecedented assembly bans."

Finally, he said, "If we ask what kind of leader we want, the answer will be what kind of head of the family we are living as." He added, "The only difference is that while all parents do not buy their children with money, some leaders can buy the people with money?that is the one thing."
