50 Bags of 10kg Rice Delivered to Hwang-o-dong Administrative Welfare Center

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongju City announced on the 25th that the local group 'Areumdaun Saramdeul-ui Moim' visited the Hwang-o-dong Administrative Welfare Center on the 22nd and delivered 50 bags of 10kg rice (worth approximately 1.5 million KRW).

'Areumdaun Saramdeul-ui Moim' is a voluntary volunteer organization without a president. They regularly deliver donated goods such as rice and daily necessities to marginalized neighbors during Lunar New Year, Chuseok, year-end, and other occasions.

The group has been volunteering for 15 years for the development of Gyeongju City and the local community through activities such as sharing love briquettes, meal service volunteering, and environmental cleanup.

Lee Gyu-seop, a tax accountant overseeing the volunteer activities, said, "As a difficult year has passed and a new year has dawned, I hope those in need receive these goods and find comfort and hope," adding, "We will continue to spare no support for the region and neighbors in need."

Kwon Chil-young, head of Hwang-o-dong, expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank the volunteer group 'Areumdaun Saramdeul-ui Moim' for their continuous support and care for neighbors in difficulty," and added, "The delivered rice will be distributed to 50 households, including basic livelihood security recipients and elderly living alone in the district."
