On the morning of the 25th, Kwon Deok-cheol, the first deputy head of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, said at a meeting, "A large number of confirmed cases have occurred at an international missionary school in Daejeon, which is very concerning," adding, "Out of 158 students and teachers, 127 have tested positive so far, resulting in a positivity rate exceeding 80%."
Deputy Head Kwon emphasized, "This is a representative case of rapid spread in a typical 3C environment, where up to 20 people live together in one room," and added, "We will immediately dispatch the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters' emergency field response team to conduct epidemiological investigations and implement all necessary measures including quarantine."
