bhc Chicken 'Haebaragi Volunteer Group' Donates Briquettes in First Volunteer Activity of the Year

bhc Chicken 'Haebaragi Volunteer Group' Donates Briquettes in First Volunteer Activity of the Year bhc Chicken's 'Sunflower Volunteer Group' 5th team visited low-income households located in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon on the 21st to deliver briquettes.

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] The ‘Haebaragi Volunteer Group’ 5th generation, a university student volunteer organization operated by bhc Chicken, carried out its first volunteer activity of the year.

The 1st team of the 5th Haebaragi Volunteer Group conducted briquette sharing volunteer work on the 21st in the Bupyeong district of Incheon Metropolitan City, targeting low-income families. This volunteer activity was organized to help vulnerable groups struggling with heating during winter due to a decrease in briquette donations caused by the economic downturn from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Haebaragi volunteers provided funds for 400 briquettes through the ‘Love Briquette Seoul-Gyeonggi-Incheon Headquarters’ and visited low-income households located in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, delivering briquettes and sharing warmth.

Since the volunteer activity was conducted face-to-face amid the COVID-19 situation, it was carried out while adhering to quarantine rules such as hand sanitization and wearing masks.

Kim Donghan, Deputy Manager of the bhc Chicken Public Relations Team, said, “Briquettes in winter serve as a protective shield for the bodies and minds of vulnerable groups including low-income families, so the activities of this Haebaragi Volunteer Group are meaningful. We are pleased that the warmth they delivered will be a practical help for low-income families to have a warm winter, and bhc Chicken will continue to actively support the activities of the Haebaragi Volunteer Group.”

Meanwhile, the Haebaragi Volunteer Group was launched in 2017 as part of bhc Chicken’s social contribution program ‘BSR (bhc+CSR).’ Each year, a total of 10 volunteers are selected, and the Haebaragi Volunteer Group is characterized by discovering places in need of help and planning and executing volunteer activities directly. The 5th generation of the Haebaragi Volunteer Group will be active for one year from January to December this year.
