Changing from traditional paper coating to PVC plastic cards... Installation of automatic issuance machines reduces issuance time from 20-30 minutes to under 5 minutes
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) has introduced an automatic issuance machine for construction machinery operator and hunting license PVC cards, which will be operational from the 25th.
The existing construction machinery operator and hunting licenses were issued by printing on paper and then laminating, making them vulnerable to moisture and prone to damage and peeling, causing inconvenience.
In response, the district announced that it has introduced an automatic issuance system that issues licenses in the same PVC material as resident registration cards, providing convenience such as improved portability, semi-permanent use, and forgery prevention through built-in security holograms.
Additionally, the issuance time, which previously took 20 to 30 minutes manually, has been drastically reduced to within 5 minutes through the automatic issuance machine, which is expected to increase customer satisfaction.
A citizen who used the automatic issuance system said, "The previous license was inconvenient to carry and easily got dirty, but the newly issued license has improved these drawbacks, so I am satisfied," showing a positive response.
In particular, it is expected to contribute to smooth civil service provision in line with the revival of aptitude tests implemented since 2019 and the nationwide increase in license issuance demand.
Mayor Park Junhee said, "By introducing the PVC card-type automatic issuance machine, the newly issued licenses not only have security features but also provide faster and more convenient services to citizens visiting the district office," adding, "We will continue to do our best to improve residents' inconveniences and enhance administrative satisfaction."
