[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Former People Power Party lawmaker Oh Shin-hwan fiercely criticized Democratic Party lawmaker Go Min-jung, who condemned former Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, saying, "Where on earth did you learn such politics?"
On the 24th, former lawmaker Oh said in a statement, "Go Min-jung of the Democratic Party habitually jeers at former Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon," adding, "It's exhausting to even count how many times this reckless behavior has occurred."
He continued, "In my 15 years in politics, I have never seen such a low-quality politician who repeatedly utters such contemptuous remarks toward a rival candidate I competed against in a general election," raising his voice, "Meeting as competitors in politics is also a connection. Although we inevitably compete during elections, once back to daily life, we must cooperate as partners for local issues."
He added, "When someone I competed against is promoted or takes on a new challenge, it has been a virtue in our politics to offer kind words and support with a joyful heart," and sharply criticized, "Where on earth did lawmaker Go learn such politics? Did President Moon Jae-in teach you that way?"

Former lawmaker Oh criticized, "Whenever she opens her mouth, she says things like 'You didn't even receive the voters' choice in Gwangjin-eul,' but such arrogance is beyond arrogance," adding, "Since democratization in 1987 until the 20th general election, the Democratic Party has won all eight elections in Gwangjin-eul. This means lawmaker Go did not win because she was outstanding."
He continued, "Her childish perception that treats general elections as if they were regional preliminaries for presidential or Seoul mayoral elections makes one doubt her qualifications as a politician. Voter composition differs, and the political landscape changes moment by moment. That is why former President Roh Moo-hyun lost in the 2002 general election but won the presidential election two years later," he said.
Finally, former lawmaker Oh told lawmaker Go, "If you easily obtained a gold badge riding a flower palanquin in the most prestigious place, you should refrain from reckless behavior and focus on your legislative activities," delivering a sharp remark, "Well-ripened rice bows its head. Noisy things are empty cans."

Earlier, on the 22nd, lawmaker Go criticized former Mayor Oh on her Facebook, saying, "It is regrettable and even more regrettable to see you still practicing conditional politics despite not being chosen by the people who wanted free school meals, the residents of Jongno District, and the residents of Gwangjin-eul." Former Mayor Oh and lawmaker Go faced off in the April 15 general election last year.
