[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Larry King, the former flagship talk show host of the American CNN network, reportedly passed away on the 23rd (local time).

According to major foreign media including CNN, King was hospitalized on the 3rd due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and died at the age of 87 while receiving treatment.

King hosted CNN's "Larry King Live" for 25 years starting in 1985, interviewing famous politicians such as former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, celebrities, athletes, and ordinary people. In recent years, he hosted a program called "Larry King Now" on Hulu and the Russian state broadcaster RT.
