[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] On the 22nd, the Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education held a blood donation event with about 90 volunteers from the headquarters and affiliated institutions in Changwon.
This blood donation was organized to help medical sites struggling to maintain an adequate blood supply due to the sharp decline in blood donors caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
To minimize crowding and ensure a safe blood collection environment, volunteers were surveyed in advance and grouped by department and institution to donate in order.
Lee Kyung-gu, Director of the General Affairs Division, said, "In the situation where blood supply has become more difficult due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to hold blood donation events so that employees can practice the spirit of sharing life and volunteerism."
