[Asia Economy Reporter Hana Na] A post claiming the purchase of a pistol to assassinate the president, along with a photo, was uploaded on an internet site, prompting the police to investigate the matter.
According to the police on the 22nd, at around 11 PM on the 21st, a post titled "Bought an M9 pistol to assassinate Moon Jae-in" was uploaded on the internet website 'DC Inside.'
The anonymous author wrote along with a photo of the pistol, "Goodbye. Live by atoning for your mistakes until the 25th." When asked in a comment "Which IP (internet address) did you use?" the author replied, "Rerouted through Algeria."
After confirming the post, the police have launched an internal investigation and are verifying the authenticity of the pistol photo along with the poster. A police official stated, "We will thoroughly investigate the post and respond strictly."
