[Asia Economy Reporter Lim On-yu] The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 23rd that 127 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Seoul in the past day.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul has remained in the 100s since recording 297 cases on the 6th of this month, followed by 191→188→187→141→167→152→134→127→156→145→132→101→143→125→115→127 cases from the 7th to the 22nd.
Although fluctuations continue, the number has stayed in the 100s for more than half a month.
Among the new confirmed cases in Seoul on the 22nd, 8 were imported from overseas and 119 were domestic transmissions.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul is 23,224. There are 4,636 patients currently in isolation, and 18,294 people have been discharged after being declared recovered.
The number of COVID-19 deaths in Seoul increased by 4, reaching 294.
