Call for Applications Until February 5... Corporations or Organizations with Experience Operating Youth Support Projects in Seoul... Youth Governance Capacity Building, Public Forum Management... Policy Project Funds and Personnel Expenses Supported for Secretariat
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) is publicly recruiting corporations or organizations to serve as the Secretariat for the operation of the ‘Youth Participation Organization’ until February 5.
The Secretariat for the ‘Youth Participation Organization’ is an organization that supports various tasks to revitalize youth governance.
The finally selected Secretariat will assist youth in directly discovering policy agendas that resonate with their own experiences.
It will also open an open public forum where any youth can participate and support group activities based on interests for each policy agenda.
Additionally, it will operate the ‘Youth Life and Growth School,’ which promotes job-seeking activities and imparts knowledge and experience necessary for daily life.
Applicants must be non-profit corporations or organizations located in Seoul with experience in operating youth support projects.
The selected Secretariat will receive personnel expenses (up to 70 million KRW) and policy activity project funds (up to 60 million KRW).
The project period is from April to December, and if there is no independent space or office, up to 10 million KRW can be provided for rental costs.
Those wishing to participate must download the application form from the district website (Our District Introduction → Notice Board → News or Public Announcements) and submit it via email.
The Secretariat selection results will be individually notified on March 29.

Previously, the district submitted a proposal created through various opinion exchanges with local youth to Seoul City and was selected as a participating autonomous district for the ‘Youth Policy Governance Revitalization Project.’
Park Gyeom-su, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, “The Secretariat selection stage is an essential procedure to derive vivid, life-centered youth policies,” and added, “We hope for the active interest and participation of capable youth organizations in the region.”
