[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Gimhae Future Talent Scholarship Foundation in Gimhae, Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that it will promote the 'Local University Admission Scholarship' project as its first initiative this year, targeting students who graduate from high schools within the city and enter universities located in the city.

This scholarship provides 500,000 KRW per person and can be combined with other scholarships. The foundation expects about 600 students to receive support.

In the second half of this year, the foundation plans to promote the 'Corporate-Linked Employment Scholarship' in cooperation with local small and medium-sized enterprises. This scholarship will be awarded to students who graduate from specialized high schools in the Gimhae area or graduate from local universities and find employment at small and medium-sized enterprises within the city.

Mayor Heo Seong-gon stated, “We will strive, along with Gimhae City and the scholarship foundation, to prevent the outflow of young people born and raised in the region, strengthen the competitiveness of local universities, and create a structure where students study at local universities and lead regional development.”
