22 New COVID-19 Cases in Gyeongnam... Total 1,825 Confirmed (Comprehensive Report 2)

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] As of 5 p.m. on the 22nd, Gyeongnam Province announced that a total of 22 confirmed cases have occurred: 6 in Jinju, 6 in Geoje, 5 in Changwon, 4 in Gimhae, and 1 in Yangsan.


All 5 confirmed cases in Changwon tested positive after contact with patient number 1815 and were classified as cases 1807 to 1809 and 1815.


Additionally, 1 person with an unknown infection route tested positive and was classified as case 1822.


Among the 6 confirmed cases in Jinju, 4 who had contact with confirmed patients within the province tested positive and were classified as cases 1812, 1816, 1825, and 1826.


Two family members who had contact with confirmed patients from other regions tested positive and were classified as cases 1813 and 1814.


Among the 4 confirmed cases in Gimhae, 2 family members who experienced symptoms and underwent testing tested positive and were classified as cases 1810 and 1811.


One person related to a foreign family gathering also tested positive and was classified as case 1824.


Additionally, one person who was notified of family contact with a confirmed patient and underwent testing together tested positive and was classified as case 1819. Other family members are currently undergoing testing.


Among the 6 confirmed cases in Geoje, one person who experienced symptoms and underwent testing tested positive and was classified as case 1817. The infection route is under investigation.


The remaining 5 all tested positive after contact with confirmed patients within the province and were classified as cases 1818, 1820, 1823, 1827, and 1828.


The single confirmed case in Yangsan also tested positive after contact with a confirmed patient within the province and was classified as case 1821.


Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province have increased to 1,825 (226 hospitalized, 1,593 discharged, 6 deceased).
