The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a spokesperson's comment on the 22nd, "Our government welcomes the U.S. government's withdrawal of the notice to leave the World Health Organization on the day President Biden took office."

The U.S. withdrawal from the WHO was scheduled to take effect in July, one year after the notification, but with President Biden's withdrawal of the notice, the U.S. will maintain its membership status.
