[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Yeongcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 22nd that it will provide the second round of emergency disaster relief funds of 100,000 won per person to all citizens.
The emergency disaster relief funds will be distributed via prepaid cards starting February 4. The usage period is until June. Citizens can apply by bringing their ID cards to the administrative welfare centers in their respective eup, myeon, or dong districts.

Based on the head of household's birth year, those born in even years can receive the funds on the 4th, those born in odd years on the 5th, and from the 6th onward, funds can be collected regardless of birth year.
Mayor Choi Ki-moon stated, "I hope the disaster relief funds will help stabilize citizens' livelihoods and revitalize the local economy, even if only a little."
Meanwhile, Yeongcheon City was the first in Daegu and Gyeongbuk to provide all citizens with 100,000 won each in emergency disaster relief funds last May.
