[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 22nd, Yuseonghun, the mayor of Geumcheon-gu, personally handled civil service tasks at the site of support for winter measures funds for the lower-income class.
On that day, Mayor Yuseonghun guided lower-income residents on how to fill out application forms and handled consultations at the Doksan 3-dong and Siheung 4-dong community centers.
Meanwhile, the district implemented the winter measures fund support project for the lower-income class for the first time in Seoul to assist residents facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19.
Until March, a total of 90 million won will be provided in Onnuri gift certificates worth 50,000 won per household to 1,800 lower-income households in the area.
Yuseonghun, mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “Compared to basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income residents receive relatively fewer welfare benefits and are facing even more severe economic crises due to the spread of COVID-19. Although the amount is small, I hope that the lower-income residents will not lose hope and overcome this crisis well.”
