Promotion of Tailored Policies for Essential Workers in the Province
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongnam Province held a 'Kick-off Meeting for the Essential Workers Survey Service' on the 22nd to support essential workers.
At the meeting, the three key tasks of the 'Essential Workers Survey Service' were discussed: the scope of support for essential workers in the Gyeongnam region, employment and labor environment investigation, and identification of policy demands and promotion directions.
The Gyeongnam Research Institute plans to conduct a survey targeting essential workers in the province to investigate salary levels, health status, quarantine conditions, and identify policy demands.
The province plans to establish 'support targets and detailed support criteria for essential workers' after completing the essential workers survey service in June, and to implement customized policies for essential workers in the province.
Meanwhile, the number of face-to-face essential workers in the province reaches 240,000, with non-residential welfare facility operators accounting for the largest portion at 50,143 (20.5%), followed by hospital workers at 39,422 (16.1%).
