Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Opens First Store Selling 'Gangwon Ginseng Products'

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] An agricultural cooperative direct sales center selling Gangwon ginseng products has opened for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The Gangwon Province Vietnam Headquarters announced on the 22nd, "The first and only Gangwon Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative Direct Sales Center in Vietnam opened in Ho Chi Minh City on the 21st."

According to the Vietnam Headquarters, the entry of Gangwon ginseng into Vietnam had been sporadic so far, but with the opening of this direct sales center, they plan to target local wholesalers as the main customers and actively pursue the market with a sales strategy.

The direct sales center officially started operations after completing licensing procedures for 13 products, following an agreement on distribution prices, payment methods, and logistics support through a consultative body formed by the Gangwon Province Vietnam Headquarters, Gangwon Economic Promotion Agency, Gangwon Ginseng Association, and Sunsuse Sang since May last year.

The operation of the direct sales center is handled by Sunsuse Sang, a subsidiary of Pure World Distribution, a local company. Pure World is known as a company that manufactures and sells false eyelashes in the United States and Europe.

Additionally, through its subsidiary Mom & Baby, it is a representative pro-Gangwon company that steadily imports and distributes clothing, water (Chuncheon Oksan-ga), and red ginseng (Chuncheon Bio Industry Promotion Agency), and it has a Korean branch office at the Chuncheon Bio Industry Promotion Agency.

Meanwhile, the Gangwon Province Japan, North America, and Europe Trade Department plans to support additional licensing, logistics, and promotional events for Gangwon ginseng products until the local marketing of the direct sales center is successfully established.
