[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Me2on subsidiary Ido Marketing announced on the 21st that its influencer platform Seled won the Grand Prix (top prize) in the Large Shopping Mall and E-commerce Platform category of the ‘2020 Awards For New Digital Award’ digital media category.
The Awards For New Digital Award is the largest digital marketing awards ceremony in Korea, hosted by the Korea Digital Enterprise Association and officially sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation, and the Korea Internet & Security Agency. The winners are selected through a rigorous three-stage evaluation process conducted by industry CEOs and external experts based on strict criteria.
In particular, this award is especially meaningful as Seled was selected as a representative e-commerce platform, surpassing numerous competitors including major domestic conglomerates.
Seled started in June 2019 as an influencer review platform, allowing influencers not only to post product review content but also to promote and sell simultaneously through their SNS, messenger, blogs, and other channels via the application. Additionally, it features a live commerce function that showcases various products and enables real-time communication with customers.
Youngtae Noh, CEO of Ido Marketing, stated, “We received positive evaluations for implementing a matching system that combines influencer media commerce and live broadcasting, allowing services to be used anytime and anywhere. We see this as an opportunity for Seled, which secures selling influencers, supported by the growth of the live commerce market. We will continue to make efforts to strengthen our capabilities in line with the rapidly changing e-commerce market trends.”
