Gwangju Buk-gu Council to Open First Extraordinary Session of the Year on the 25th


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] The Buk-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chairman Pyo Beomsik) announced on the 21st that it will start the first session of the 267th extraordinary meeting on the 25th, marking the first session of the new year.


In this first extraordinary meeting of the new year, the council plans to listen to the major business plans for 2021 from each department and division, and handle a total of eight ordinances and other agenda items, including four ordinances proposed by council members.


During the first plenary session, the council will listen to the 2021 major business plans from the district mayor and handle general agenda items. From the 26th to the 28th, each standing committee will conduct activities within their jurisdiction, and on the 29th, the second plenary session will be held to process agenda items and conclude the schedule.


Chairman Pyo Beomsik of Buk-gu said, “Since this extraordinary meeting includes business reports reviewing major projects for the year, we will carefully examine whether there are any shortcomings in overcoming COVID-19 and improving the welfare of district residents,” and added, “In 2021, we will continue to engage in communicative legislative activities that come closer to the residents.”
