[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Min Byung-doo, a former three-term lawmaker, officially took office as the head of the Insurance Training Institute on the 21st.
The Insurance Training Institute held a general meeting of members on December 30 last year and unanimously approved the appointment of the 18th director.
Born in 1958, the new director Min served as a member of the National Assembly in the 17th, 19th, and 20th sessions. Based on his years of legislative activities in finance, economy, and education, as well as his experience in research, education, and writing in various fields as the head of the Democratic Policy Research Institute and chairman of the Political Affairs Committee, he is expected to lead the Insurance Training Institute in strengthening its competitiveness and status as a specialized industrial training institution.
Established in 1965, the Insurance Training Institute is the only specialized insurance training institution in Korea, contributing to the development of the insurance industry by improving the qualifications of executives and employees of insurance companies and related organizations and disseminating professional knowledge about insurance.
