[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 20th that siblings Igai (22, female) and Lee Hyun-jun (14) donated 2,153,000 KRW in scholarship funds to the Muan-gun Seungdal Scholarship Foundation on the 19th.

Igai's scholarship donations began in 2016, and since then, her younger siblings Lee Tae-i and Lee Hyun-jun have also participated, saving their allowances once or twice a year to donate scholarships.

So far, the three siblings have donated a total of 8,653,000 KRW to the Seungdal Scholarship Foundation, and this year, Igai and Lee Hyun-jun made scholarship donations.

Governor Kim San said, "They are at an age when they want to eat and buy many things, but they saved their allowances to donate scholarships for other youths, which deeply moved me," and added, "The donated scholarships will be used carefully to support students who do not give up on their studies despite difficult circumstances."

Meanwhile, the Muan-gun Seungdal Scholarship Foundation was established in 1994 with the goal of nurturing local talent and has provided scholarships totaling over 2.1 billion KRW to 2,555 recipients to date. This year, it plans to award scholarships to 136 students.
