Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Conducts 'Fire Safety Education' for Public Service Workers

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Western Fire Station (Chief Lee Cheontaek) announced on the 19th that it conducted fire safety training for eight public service workers at the in-house cafeteria on the 18th.

Prior to the training, the Western Fire Station established its own quarantine guidelines and strictly adhered to preventive measures, such as requiring both instructors and trainees to wear masks during the training.

This fire safety training consisted of content tailored to the trainees' level, including how to respond in case of fire, how to use basic firefighting equipment such as fire extinguishers, the Heimlich maneuver, and education on preventing everyday safety accidents, receiving great responses.

Chief Lee Cheontaek said, "Fire safety training should not be a one-time event but something to be internalized through repeated training and practice," adding, "I hope that quick responses in emergency situations will protect the lives of family and neighbors."
