[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Goodoc, a 100% subsidiary of Carelabs (CEO Park Kyungdeuk, Im Jinseok), has surpassed 100,000 uses within one month of launching its non-face-to-face electronic entry log service ‘Goodoc QR Check-in,’ which has been provided free of charge to hospitals in the Seoul metropolitan area to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Last November, Goodoc introduced the non-face-to-face check-in platform ‘QR Check-in,’ where patients visiting hospitals fill out medical questionnaires using their mobile devices and verify the issued entry pass at kiosks installed within the hospital. ‘Goodoc QR Check-in’ is a one-stop service that links with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency’s database to check hospital visitors’ overseas travel history as well as contact history with confirmed cases, thereby supporting more efficient infection control in medical institutions.
In addition, the ‘Goodoc QR Check-in’ service contributes to safer K-quarantine and reduces the workload of medical staff by replacing verbal COVID-19 screening questionnaires with mobile-based ‘COVID-19 screening questionnaire’ functionality, which strictly checks the risk of infection in advance.
Park Kyungdeuk, CEO of Goodoc, stated, “The ‘QR Check-in’ introduced to enhance the safety of visitors and medical staff has received positive feedback from hospitals implementing it, showing effective results such as ▲thorough infection control through system inquiries and electronic questionnaires ▲reduction of guidance personnel ▲cost savings on manual entry log paperwork ▲free kiosk installation ▲and reduced waiting times for hospital visitors. Since hospitals with many vulnerable patients and elderly visitors require continuous strengthening of COVID-19 prevention measures, we will strive to expand the service further.”
The company plans to provide a high-level total infection control solution within hospitals by confirming the needs on-site through surpassing 100,000 uses of the ‘Goodoc QR Check-in’ service and by integrating additional systems such as ▲thermal imaging cameras ▲OCS/EMR ▲facial recognition functions ▲and access control systems.
The ‘QR Check-in’ service, which initially started with free kiosk support in the Seoul area, is currently used in over 20 major hospitals in the metropolitan area. Hospitals located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon with an average daily visitor count of over 300 can adopt the full free service, including kiosk installation and hospital system integration. Detailed information about the ‘QR Check-in’ service can be found on the official ‘Goodoc’ blog.
